### sec.209 Failure to comply with direction
The person in control of the vehicle must comply with a direction under section 207 unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—60 penalty units.
It is a reasonable excuse for the person not to comply with a direction if—
the vehicle was moving and the authorised person did not comply with section 208 ; or
to comply immediately would have endangered someone else or caused loss or damage to property, and the person complies as soon as it is practicable to do so.
Subsection (2) does not limit subsection (1) .
A person does not commit an offence against subsection (1) if—
the direction the person fails to comply with is given under section 207 (2) ; and
the person is not given an offence warning for the direction.
