### sec.207 Power to stop or move
If the vehicle is moving, the authorised person may, to exercise his or her powers, signal or otherwise direct the person in control of the vehicle to stop the vehicle and to bring the vehicle to, and keep it at, a convenient place within a reasonable distance to allow the authorised person to exercise the powers.
If the vehicle is stopped, the authorised person may direct the person in control of the vehicle—
not to move it until the authorised person has exercised the authorised person’s powers; or
to move the vehicle to, and keep it at, a stated reasonable place to allow the authorised person to exercise the powers.
When giving the direction under subsection (2) , the authorised person must give the person in control an offence warning for the direction.
(sec.207-ssec.1) If the vehicle is moving, the authorised person may, to exercise his or her powers, signal or otherwise direct the person in control of the vehicle to stop the vehicle and to bring the vehicle to, and keep it at, a convenient place within a reasonable distance to allow the authorised person to exercise the powers.
(sec.207-ssec.2) If the vehicle is stopped, the authorised person may direct the person in control of the vehicle— not to move it until the authorised person has exercised the authorised person’s powers; or to move the vehicle to, and keep it at, a stated reasonable place to allow the authorised person to exercise the powers.
(sec.207-ssec.3) When giving the direction under subsection (2) , the authorised person must give the person in control an offence warning for the direction.
- (a) not to move it until the authorised person has exercised the authorised person’s powers; or
- (b) to move the vehicle to, and keep it at, a stated reasonable place to allow the authorised person to exercise the powers.
