### sec.173L Extending end of waste approval
The holder of an end of waste approval may apply to the chief executive, on 1 occasion, to extend the approval.
See chapter 8A , part 2 for general provisions that apply to the application.
The application must be made at least 2 months before the end of waste approval expires.
In deciding the application, the chief executive must consider—
the matters mentioned in section 173J (1) ; and
whether the waste and resource to which the approval relates would be more appropriately managed as a waste management ERA.
