### sec.173I Application
A person may apply to the chief executive for an end of waste approval to conduct a trial for 1 kind of waste to demonstrate whether or not the waste is suitable to be used as a resource.
See chapter 8A for general provisions that apply to the application and to an end of waste approval.
The application must be accompanied by a written report about the application, in the approved form, prepared by a suitably qualified person.
A regulation may prescribe matters about preparing a written report.
In this section—
suitably qualified person , in relation to a written report, means a person who—
has the qualifications and experience appropriate for preparing the report; and
meets any other criteria prescribed by regulation.

(sec.173I-ssec.4) In this section— suitably qualified person , in relation to a written report, means a person who— has the qualifications and experience appropriate for preparing the report; and meets any other criteria prescribed by regulation.
- (a) has the qualifications and experience appropriate for preparing the report; and
- (b) meets any other criteria prescribed by regulation.
