### sec.171 Cancellation or suspension of end of waste code
The chief executive may cancel or suspend an end of waste code if the chief executive is satisfied—
there is no longer a use for a particular resource under the code; or
the end of waste code was made on the basis of a miscalculation of—
the characteristics of the resource; and
the potential of the resource to cause serious environmental harm, or material environmental harm, because of those characteristics; or
the use of particular waste or a particular resource is unlawful; or
it is necessary or desirable to do so having regard to the objects of the Act .

- (a) there is no longer a use for a particular resource under the code; or
- (b) the end of waste code was made on the basis of a miscalculation of— (i) the characteristics of the resource; and (ii) the potential of the resource to cause serious environmental harm, or material environmental harm, because of those characteristics; or
- (i) the characteristics of the resource; and
- (ii) the potential of the resource to cause serious environmental harm, or material environmental harm, because of those characteristics; or
- (c) the use of particular waste or a particular resource is unlawful; or
- (d) it is necessary or desirable to do so having regard to the objects of the Act .
- (i) the characteristics of the resource; and
- (ii) the potential of the resource to cause serious environmental harm, or material environmental harm, because of those characteristics; or
