### sec.165 Publication of draft end of waste code
Before the chief executive decides to make an end of waste code, the chief executive must publish the following on the department’s website—
a copy of the draft end of waste code; and
a notice stating—
that a person may make a submission to the chief executive about the draft end of waste code; and
the period, of at least 28 days (the consultation period ), during which the submission may be made; and
how to make a submission; and
another matter prescribed by regulation.
The chief executive must ensure the draft end of waste code and notice continue to be available from the department’s website throughout the consultation period.
The chief executive must consider all submissions made under subsection (1) before deciding whether or not to make the end of waste code.
