### sec.132 What is a State entity and who is its chief executive officer
Each of the following is a State entity —
a department;
an entity that—
under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 276 , is a government entity but is not a government owned corporation; and
is prescribed under a regulation to be a State entity for this Act.
The chief executive officer of a State entity is the person who is—
if the entity is a department—the chief executive of the department; or
otherwise—the person who is the chief executive officer of the entity, by whatever name known.

(sec.132-ssec.1) Each of the following is a State entity — a department; an entity that— under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 276 , is a government entity but is not a government owned corporation; and is prescribed under a regulation to be a State entity for this Act.
(sec.132-ssec.2) The chief executive officer of a State entity is the person who is— if the entity is a department—the chief executive of the department; or otherwise—the person who is the chief executive officer of the entity, by whatever name known.
- (a) a department;
- (b) an entity that— (i) under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 276 , is a government entity but is not a government owned corporation; and (ii) is prescribed under a regulation to be a State entity for this Act.
