### sec.7 Application of Act This Act applies to all clearing of vegetation other than vegetation on— a forest reserve under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 ; or any of the following protected areas under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 — a national park (scientific); a national park; a national park (Aboriginal land); a national park (Torres Strait Islander land); a national park (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal land); a conservation park; a resources reserve; a special wildlife reserve; or an area declared as a State forest or timber reserve under the Forestry Act 1959 ; or a forest entitlement area under the Land Act 1994 . This Act does not prevent a local law from imposing requirements on the clearing of vegetation in its local government area. The requirements mentioned in subsection (2) are unaffected by the Local Government Act 2009 , section 27 . The Local Government Act 2009 , section 27 is subject to subsection (3) .
