### sec.60 Obstructing an authorised officer A person must not obstruct an authorised officer in the exercise of a power, unless the person has a reasonable excuse. Maximum penalty—500 penalty units. If a person has obstructed an authorised officer and the authorised officer decides to proceed with the exercise of the power, the authorised officer must warn the person that— it is an offence to obstruct the authorised officer, unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and the authorised officer considers the person’s conduct an obstruction. In this section— obstruct includes assault, hinder and threaten, and attempt to obstruct. s 60 amd 2018 No. 7 s 33 (sec.60-ssec.1) A person must not obstruct an authorised officer in the exercise of a power, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
