### sec.996 Transitional provision
Unless the court otherwise orders, chapter 11, part 5, as inserted by the Uniform Civil Procedure Amendment Rule (No. 1) 2004, section 7, applies to an existing proceeding, other than in relation to an expert appointed before the commencement of this rule.
If a difficulty arises in the application of subrule (1) to a particular proceeding, the court may, on application by a party or on its own initiative, make an order it considers appropriate to resolve the difficulty.
In this rule—
existing proceeding means a proceeding started in the court, but not completed, before the commencement of this rule.
