### sec.774 Effect of failure to give security for costs of appeal
If the appellant has been ordered to give security for costs of an appeal and the security has not been given as required by the order—
the appeal is stayed so far as it concerns steps to be taken by the appellant, unless the Court of Appeal otherwise orders; and
the Court of Appeal may, on the respondent’s application, dismiss the appeal.
