### sec.743B If recovery proceedings started
If a law practice has started a proceeding in a court to recover costs from any person, any application for assessment of all or part of those costs must be made by application in the proceeding.
At the directions hearing mentioned in rule 743G , the court may also give directions as to the conduct of the proceeding.
If no application for assessment is made in the proceeding, the court may, at an appropriate stage of the proceeding—
order that any costs be assessed by a costs assessor; and
give appropriate directions.
