### sec.591 Form and procedure
An application for a writ of habeas corpus may be made without notice being given to another party.
The application must be supported by an affidavit.
The affidavit may—
be made by another person on behalf of the person who is under restraint; and
contain statements based on information and belief so long as it states the sources of information and grounds of belief.
