### sec.429VI Code of conduct for interpreters
An interpreter must comply with the code of conduct.
Unless the court orders otherwise, as soon as practicable after an interpreter is engaged for a proceeding, the party who engaged the interpreter must give the interpreter a copy of the code of conduct.
Unless the court orders otherwise, a witness may not give evidence using an interpreter unless the court is satisfied the interpreter has read the code of conduct and agreed to be bound by it.
Subrules (1) to (3) apply subject to rule 429VG .

(sec.429VI-ssec.1) An interpreter must comply with the code of conduct.
(sec.429VI-ssec.2) Unless the court orders otherwise, as soon as practicable after an interpreter is engaged for a proceeding, the party who engaged the interpreter must give the interpreter a copy of the code of conduct.
