### sec.337 Case appraiser may seek information
A case appraiser may ask anyone for information and may obtain, and act on, information obtained from anyone on any aspect of the dispute.
However, if obtaining the information involves extra cost, the case appraiser must first obtain—
the parties’ agreement to pay the extra cost; or
the court’s leave.
If the court gives leave, the court must also—
order the parties to pay the extra cost; and
state to whom and by when the payment must be made.
The case appraiser must disclose the substance of the information to the parties.
(sec.337-ssec.1) A case appraiser may ask anyone for information and may obtain, and act on, information obtained from anyone on any aspect of the dispute.
(sec.337-ssec.2) However, if obtaining the information involves extra cost, the case appraiser must first obtain— the parties’ agreement to pay the extra cost; or the court’s leave.
(sec.337-ssec.3) If the court gives leave, the court must also— order the parties to pay the extra cost; and state to whom and by when the payment must be made.
