### sec.198 Third party defence
The third party may file and serve a defence within 28 days after the day the third party is served with the statement of claim on the third party.
The third party may, in the defence to the third party notice, deny a plaintiff’s allegations against a defendant and allege a matter showing a plaintiff’s claim against a defendant is not maintainable.
