### sec.159 Interest
This rule applies if a party intends to apply to the court for an award of interest, whether under the Civil Proceedings Act 2011 , part 8 or otherwise.
This rule does not apply to a proceeding for damages for personal injury or death.
The party must allege in the party’s pleading particulars of—
the amount or amounts on which the interest is claimed; and
the interest rate or rates claimed; and
the day or days from which interest is claimed; and
the method of calculation.
However, the rate or rates of interest need not be separately specified if the party is claiming at the rate or rates specified in a practice direction.
