### sec.8E Guidelines for pt 2A The chief executive may make guidelines— about a matter mentioned in section 8A ; or for the purposes of sections 8B to 8D . The guidelines may also— identify a particular transport facility, transport corridor or parcel of land; and include other matters relevant to subsection (1) (a) or (b) . A person must have regard to relevant guidelines when— planning or carrying out development under the Planning Act ; or making changes to the management of a local government road; or making proposals in relation to the provision of public passenger transport. The chief executive must— give a copy of the guidelines, and any amendment of the guidelines, to every local government affected by the guidelines; and for a guideline made for the purposes of section 8C —publish the guideline on the department’s website. This section does not limit section 8C (2) .
