### sec.8E Guidelines for pt 2A
The chief executive may make guidelines—
about a matter mentioned in section 8A ; or
for the purposes of sections 8B to 8D .
The guidelines may also—
identify a particular transport facility, transport corridor or parcel of land; and
include other matters relevant to subsection (1) (a) or (b) .
A person must have regard to relevant guidelines when—
planning or carrying out development under the Planning Act ; or
making changes to the management of a local government road; or
making proposals in relation to the provision of public passenger transport.
The chief executive must—
give a copy of the guidelines, and any amendment of the guidelines, to every local government affected by the guidelines; and
for a guideline made for the purposes of section 8C —publish the guideline on the department’s website.
This section does not limit section 8C (2) .
In this section—
department’s website means a website, or part of a website—
administered by the department; and
with a URL that contains qld.gov.au.
transport corridor includes a future transport corridor.
transport facility includes a future transport facility.

(sec.8E-ssec.1) The chief executive may make guidelines— about a matter mentioned in section 8A ; or for the purposes of sections 8B to 8D .
(sec.8E-ssec.2) The guidelines may also— identify a particular transport facility, transport corridor or parcel of land; and include other matters relevant to subsection (1) (a) or (b) .
(sec.8E-ssec.3) A person must have regard to relevant guidelines when— planning or carrying out development under the Planning Act ; or making changes to the management of a local government road; or making proposals in relation to the provision of public passenger transport.
(sec.8E-ssec.4) The chief executive must— give a copy of the guidelines, and any amendment of the guidelines, to every local government affected by the guidelines; and for a guideline made for the purposes of section 8C —publish the guideline on the department’s website.
(sec.8E-ssec.5) This section does not limit section 8C (2) .
(sec.8E-ssec.6) In this section— department’s website means a website, or part of a website— administered by the department; and with a URL that contains qld.gov.au. transport corridor includes a future transport corridor. transport facility includes a future transport facility.
- (a) about a matter mentioned in section 8A ; or
- (b) for the purposes of sections 8B to 8D .
