### sec.62AAC What is an integrated mass transit service contract
An integrated mass transit service contract is a service contract for a general route service in the integrated mass transit area, under which contract—
the holder charges the fare set by the chief executive; and
the State retains the revenue; and
the State pays the holder for the services provided.
An integrated mass transit service contract does not give the holder the exclusive right to operate a general route service in the service contract area or route the subject of the contract.
For subsection (1) , it does not matter whether the service contract was entered into before or after the commencement of this section.
