### sec.48A Chief executive may enter into emergency service contract The chief executive may enter into a service contract if the chief executive is satisfied the contract is necessary as a matter of urgency— to establish a public passenger service; or to ensure the continuity of a public passenger service; or to provide a public passenger service in an interim period while another service contract for the service is being offered or negotiated. s 48A ins 2002 No. 15 s 53 - (a) to establish a public passenger service; or - (b) to ensure the continuity of a public passenger service; or - (c) to provide a public passenger service in an interim period while another service contract for the service is being offered or negotiated.
