### sec.218 Proceedings for particular offences
This section applies if a person is alleged to have committed an offence against any of the following provisions before the commencement—
former section 143AC;
former section 143ADA;
former section 143ADB.
Without limiting the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 20, a proceeding for the offence may be continued or started, and the person may be punished for the offence, as if the Personalised Transport Ombudsman Act 2019 , sections 125 and 126 had not commenced.
Subsection (2) applies despite the Criminal Code, section 11.
In this section—
former , in relation to a provision, means as in force before the commencement.
