### sec.16 Defence ships
This Act does not apply to a ship belonging to—
the Australian Defence Force; or
the naval, military or air forces of a foreign country.
However, if the master of a ship mentioned in subsection (1) voluntarily uses the services of a pilot, the master and owner of the ship are liable for pilotage fees under this Act.
(sec.16-ssec.1) This Act does not apply to a ship belonging to— the Australian Defence Force; or the naval, military or air forces of a foreign country.
(sec.16-ssec.2) However, if the master of a ship mentioned in subsection (1) voluntarily uses the services of a pilot, the master and owner of the ship are liable for pilotage fees under this Act.
- (a) the Australian Defence Force; or
- (b) the naval, military or air forces of a foreign country.
