### sec.85 Power to enter into road franchise agreements
The Minister may, for the State, enter into an agreement (a road franchise agreement ) with a person under which, or as part of which, the person is to invest in the construction, maintenance or operation of road transport infrastructure.
The agreement must be consistent with—
the coordination plan; and
the objectives of this Act; and
the current transport infrastructure strategies; and
the obligations about government supported transport infrastructure set out in section 9 .
The agreement may include, for example—
provisions about the ownership of the road transport infrastructure; or
provisions about tolls for the use of the road transport infrastructure; or
provisions about administration charges in relation to tolls for the use of the road transport infrastructure.
