### sec.529 Appeals
This section applies to a person if, before the commencement, the person may—
ask the chief executive to review a decision under section 485 (1) ; or
appeal against a reviewed decision under section 485 (4) .
The person’s rights as mentioned in subsection (1) continue after the commencement subject to any limitations applicable before the commencement.
Subsection (2) applies whether or not the person has done either of the things mentioned in subsection (1) before the commencement.
For an application for a review or an appeal by a person to whom this section applies, when either the chief executive or an appeal court is exercising powers under the Transport Planning and Coordination Act 1994 , part 5, the chief executive or appeal court must exercise those powers as if the right to make the application or appeal arose after the commencement.
