### sec.524 Certificate of accreditation given before commencement
If a document about a continuing accredited person’s accreditation was issued to the person under this Act before the commencement and it purported to be a certificate of accreditation, the document is the person’s certificate of accreditation.
If a document purporting to be a certificate of accreditation was not issued to a continuing accredited person before the commencement, the chief executive must issue a certificate of accreditation to the accredited person before the end of 6 months after the commencement.
In this section—
certificate of accreditation has the meaning given by section 126(7) as in force immediately before the commencement of the Transport (Rail Safety) Act 2010 , section 334.

(sec.524-ssec.1) If a document about a continuing accredited person’s accreditation was issued to the person under this Act before the commencement and it purported to be a certificate of accreditation, the document is the person’s certificate of accreditation.
(sec.524-ssec.2) If a document purporting to be a certificate of accreditation was not issued to a continuing accredited person before the commencement, the chief executive must issue a certificate of accreditation to the accredited person before the end of 6 months after the commencement.
(sec.524-ssec.3) In this section— certificate of accreditation has the meaning given by section 126(7) as in force immediately before the commencement of the Transport (Rail Safety) Act 2010 , section 334.
