### sec.289U Entry into service provider register
If section 289T applies—
as soon as practicable after an entity other than the port lessor becomes a port operator, the entity must give the regulator any information requested by the regulator for the purpose of registration as a service provider; and
the regulator must—
register the entity in the service provider register as a service provider for the relevant services; and
give the entity notice of the registration; and
the Water Supply Act , sections 21 and 22 do not apply to the registration.
The entity is a water service provider or sewerage service provider from the day it becomes a port operator, regardless of when it is registered.

(sec.289U-ssec.2) The entity is a water service provider or sewerage service provider from the day it becomes a port operator, regardless of when it is registered.
- (a) as soon as practicable after an entity other than the port lessor becomes a port operator, the entity must give the regulator any information requested by the regulator for the purpose of registration as a service provider; and
- (b) the regulator must— (i) register the entity in the service provider register as a service provider for the relevant services; and (ii) give the entity notice of the registration; and
- (i) register the entity in the service provider register as a service provider for the relevant services; and
- (ii) give the entity notice of the registration; and
- (c) the Water Supply Act , sections 21 and 22 do not apply to the registration.
