### sec.289B Definitions for pt 4A
In this part—
approval see section 289C (1) .
controlled activity means any of the following activities—
operating a tug service;
in relation to a ship—
burning; or
welding; or
riveting; or
spray-painting; or
sand blasting; or
another similar activity prescribed under a regulation;
operating a refuelling facility.

- (a) operating a tug service;
- (b) in relation to a ship— (i) burning; or (ii) welding; or (iii) riveting; or (iv) spray-painting; or (v) sand blasting; or (vi) another similar activity prescribed under a regulation;
- (i) burning; or
- (ii) welding; or
- (iii) riveting; or
- (iv) spray-painting; or
- (v) sand blasting; or
- (vi) another similar activity prescribed under a regulation;
- (c) operating a refuelling facility.
