### sec.283A Inspection of documents
An authorised officer of a port authority or port lessor may require a person, who is or may be liable to pay a charge to the port authority or a relevant entity, to produce for the authorised officer’s inspection, documents that are—
under the person’s control; and
relevant to deciding—
whether the person is liable to pay the charge; or
the amount of the charge.
The person must comply with the requirement, unless the person has a reasonable excuse for not complying with it.
Maximum penalty for subsection (2) —50 penalty units.
