### sec.282K Appointment and qualifications of authorised officers
A port authority or port lessor may appoint a person as an authorised officer for the port authority or port lessor.
However, the port authority or port lessor may appoint a person as an authorised officer for the port authority or port lessor only if the port authority or port lessor is satisfied the person is qualified for appointment because the person has the necessary expertise or experience.

(sec.282K-ssec.1) A port authority or port lessor may appoint a person as an authorised officer for the port authority or port lessor.
(sec.282K-ssec.2) However, the port authority or port lessor may appoint a person as an authorised officer for the port authority or port lessor only if the port authority or port lessor is satisfied the person is qualified for appointment because the person has the necessary expertise or experience.
