### sec.27 Declaration of motorways
The Minister may, by gazette notice, declare that the whole or a part of a State-controlled road is a motorway.
A declaration must enable the location of the motorway to be identified.
Before making or revoking a declaration, the Minister must be satisfied each local government that would, in the Minister’s opinion, be affected by the proposed declaration or revocation has been—
made aware of the proposed declaration or revocation; and
given a reasonable opportunity to make submissions to the Minister on the proposed declaration or revocation.

(sec.27-ssec.1) The Minister may, by gazette notice, declare that the whole or a part of a State-controlled road is a motorway.
(sec.27-ssec.2) A declaration must enable the location of the motorway to be identified.
