### sec.245 Existing buildings on land
If, immediately before the commencement, a building of the previous rail corporation was lawfully on land—
it may stay on the land; and
its construction is not subject to any approval that did not affect it immediately before the commencement.
If, immediately before the commencement, the previous rail corporation’s activities were lawfully being carried out on the land, they may still be carried out on the land despite any change to the zoning of the land.
In this section—
building includes a structure or works.

(sec.245-ssec.1) If, immediately before the commencement, a building of the previous rail corporation was lawfully on land— it may stay on the land; and its construction is not subject to any approval that did not affect it immediately before the commencement.
(sec.245-ssec.2) If, immediately before the commencement, the previous rail corporation’s activities were lawfully being carried out on the land, they may still be carried out on the land despite any change to the zoning of the land.
(sec.245-ssec.3) In this section— building includes a structure or works.
- (a) it may stay on the land; and
- (b) its construction is not subject to any approval that did not affect it immediately before the commencement.
