### sec.17 Development of implementation programs for miscellaneous transport infrastructure The chief executive must, each year, develop for the Minister’s approval implementation programs for miscellaneous transport infrastructure for the year and for 1 or more later years. Implementation programs for miscellaneous transport infrastructure must include— a program of projects, and policies and budgets, for implementing the transport infrastructure strategies about the miscellaneous transport infrastructure covered by the programs; and performance targets for that miscellaneous transport infrastructure. Implementation programs for miscellaneous transport infrastructure may include proposals to spend amounts on transport infrastructure other than miscellaneous transport infrastructure if the spending would contribute to intermodal effectiveness and efficiency. In developing implementation programs for miscellaneous transport infrastructure, the chief executive must take reasonable steps to consult with local governments that, in the opinion of the chief executive, would be affected by the programs. Implementation programs for miscellaneous transport infrastructure are to be made publicly available in the way decided by the Minister. The Minister may at any time direct the chief executive to amend implementation programs for miscellaneous transport infrastructure. The Minister may approve implementation programs for miscellaneous transport infrastructure that are submitted for approval or require the chief executive to amend the programs in the way the Minister directs.
