### sec.167 Watercourses To carry out railway works, an accredited person may, with the chief executive’s written approval— divert a watercourse; or construct a watercourse, whether temporary or permanent. In deciding whether to approve the diversion of a watercourse, the chief executive must consider the effect the works would have on the watercourse’s physical integrity and flow characteristics.
