### sec.28 Requirement to review development schemes under Economic Development Act As soon as practicable after a port overlay takes effect for a priority port’s master planned area, MEDQ must— consider whether a development scheme for a priority development area under the Economic Development Act is inconsistent with the port overlay; and if there is an inconsistency, decide whether to amend the development scheme to remove the inconsistency. However, subsection (1) applies only if the master planned area is within, or includes, the priority development area. If, under subsection (1) (b) , MEDQ decides not to amend the development scheme, MEDQ must, within 14 sitting days after making the decision, table in the Legislative Assembly a report about the reasons for the decision.
