### sec.87 Board may authorise investigation of registrant’s professional conduct
This section applies if—
the board reasonably believes a registrant has engaged in professional misconduct, whether or not a complaint has been made under section 85 about the registrant’s professional conduct; or
the registrant has not complied with a request made under section 86 (2) .
The board may—
deal with the matter in a way mentioned in section 86 (2) (a) ; or
authorise an investigation of the registrant’s professional conduct.
(sec.87-ssec.1) This section applies if— the board reasonably believes a registrant has engaged in professional misconduct, whether or not a complaint has been made under section 85 about the registrant’s professional conduct; or the registrant has not complied with a request made under section 86 (2) .
(sec.87-ssec.2) The board may— deal with the matter in a way mentioned in section 86 (2) (a) ; or authorise an investigation of the registrant’s professional conduct.
- (a) the board reasonably believes a registrant has engaged in professional misconduct, whether or not a complaint has been made under section 85 about the registrant’s professional conduct; or
- (b) the registrant has not complied with a request made under section 86 (2) .
- (a) deal with the matter in a way mentioned in section 86 (2) (a) ; or
- (b) authorise an investigation of the registrant’s professional conduct.
