### sec.55 Board’s powers before deciding application
Before deciding the application, the board may, by written notice given to the applicant, ask the applicant for any further information or document the board reasonably requires to decide the application.
The notice must state a reasonable period of at least 10 business days after it is given (the stated period ) within which the information or document must be given.
The board may require the information or document to be verified by a statutory declaration.
The applicant is taken to have withdrawn the application if the applicant does not comply with the requirement within the stated period.
A notice under subsection (1) must be given to the applicant within 10 business days after the board receives the application.
The board may also ask the chief executive for statistical information held by the chief executive about the quality of surveys carried out by the registrant to help the board decide the continued suitability of the applicant for the registration or registration endorsement.
The chief executive must comply with a request under subsection (6) .
