### sec.66 Limitation on time for starting proceeding for summary offence A summary proceeding under the Justices Act 1886 for a summary offence must start within the later of the following periods to end— 1 year after the commission of the offence; or 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the commission of the offence. - (a) 1 year after the commission of the offence; or - (b) 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the commission of the offence.
