### 148 Lodgment of documents
> > (1) In this Division,

> > > ***applicant*** means a person requiring a document to be served in another country.

> > (2) An applicant is to –

> > > > (a) lodge with the Principal Registrar –

> > > > > > (i) the document to be served; and
> > > > >
> > > > > > (ii) unless English is an official language of the country concerned, a translation of the document in accordance with [rule 149](#GS149@EN) ; and

> > > > > > (iii) a copy of the document and of any translation; and

> > > > > > (iv) any further copies of the document and of the translation the Principal Registrar directs; and
