### sec.45 Delegation by Minister The Minister may delegate the Minister’s functions under this part to— the chief executive of a department; or the chief executive officer (however described) of a government owned corporation; or the chief executive officer of a rail government entity. The chief executive of a department may subdelegate the delegated functions to an appropriately qualified officer in the department. The chief executive officer of a government owned corporation may subdelegate the delegated functions to an appropriately qualified employee in— the government owned corporation; or a subsidiary of the government owned corporation. The chief executive officer of a rail government entity may subdelegate the delegated functions to an appropriately qualified employee of the rail government entity.
