### sec.70 Notification and recording of matters relating to permits to pass
This section applies if any of the following happens (a permit event )—
a permit to pass is granted;
a permit to pass is relinquished by the grantee;
a permit to pass, or a condition on which a permit to pass is held, is varied or cancelled under section 72 .
Within 28 days after the permit event happens, the grantee must give to the registrar—
a signed notice—
stating that the permit event has happened; and
identifying the parties to the permit to pass and the land affected by the permit; and
a copy of—
for the grant of a permit to pass—the permit to pass; or
otherwise—the document by which the relinquishment, variation or cancellation was effected.
Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
The registrar must ensure a notice appears in the relevant register kept under the Land Act 1994 or the Land Title Act 1994 so that a search of the register will show the permit event has happened.
