### sec.76 Coordinator-General may obtain information
With a view to discharging the Coordinator-General’s functions under this part the Coordinator-General may require any local body or other person to furnish to him or her—
particulars of all works and undertakings proposed to be carried out by or on behalf of or under the authority or supervision of that body or person in connection with any proposed development, processing or handling; and
such information as in the Coordinator-General’s opinion would assist the Coordinator-General in the proper discharge of his or her functions.
Particulars and information furnished to the Coordinator-General pursuant to the Coordinator-General’s requisition shall be verified in a manner directed by the Coordinator-General, including (should he or she so direct) by way of statutory declaration.
This section shall be construed to apply—
except where the Minister directs to the contrary in a particular case, proof whereof shall lie upon him or her who alleges such direction to the contrary; and
subject to the provisions of any Act that expressly requires a person employed for the purposes of that Act to preserve and aid in preserving secrecy with respect to all matters that may come to the person’s knowledge in the person’s official capacity.
