### sec.24C Powers of lessor where no current lease
Where the lessor is entitled to immediate possession of a lot because of the determination of a lease, the lessor shall, for the purposes only of this Act (but subject to such exceptions as may be prescribed), be deemed to be the lessee of the lot.

Nothing in subsection (1) confers or imposes on the lessor any right or obligation created by any lease, sublease, mortgage, or other interest to which any former lessee was subject.

Nothing in this section affects the rights of an under-lessee under the provisions of the Property Law Act 2023 .
