### sec.24 Objects The corporation’s objects are— to promote, facilitate, carry out and control the development, disposal and management of land and other property within the corporation area; and to achieve an appropriate balance between the corporation’s commercial and non-commercial functions; and to ensure the corporation area complements, rather than duplicates, other public use sites in the inner city Brisbane area; and to provide for a diverse range of recreational, cultural and educational pursuits for local, regional and international visitors; and to accommodate public events and entertainment that benefit the general community; and to achieve excellence and innovation in the management of open space and park areas. s 24 amd 1991 No. 67 s 11 sub 2003 No. 24 s 13 - (a) to promote, facilitate, carry out and control the development, disposal and management of land and other property within the corporation area; and - (b) to achieve an appropriate balance between the corporation’s commercial and non-commercial functions; and - (c) to ensure the corporation area complements, rather than duplicates, other public use sites in the inner city Brisbane area; and - (d) to provide for a diverse range of recreational, cultural and educational pursuits for local, regional and international visitors; and - (e) to accommodate public events and entertainment that benefit the general community; and - (f) to achieve excellence and innovation in the management of open space and park areas.
