### sec.12 Deputies of members
The Governor in Council may appoint a person who is not a member to be the deputy of a member.
The deputy of a member appointed on the nomination of the council must be appointed only on the nomination of the council.
If a member is absent from a meeting of the corporation, the deputy of the member may attend and act as the member.
