### sec.30 Claim for compensation
A person desiring to claim compensation shall apply to the chief executive within 6 months of the occurrence of the event upon which that claim is based.
If within 2 months after the date of receipt by the chief executive of a claim for compensation the chief executive has not admitted liability to pay compensation upon the claim or the claimant has not agreed to the amount of compensation to be paid by the chief executive upon the claim, the chief executive or the claimant may refer the matter to the Land Court and the Land Court shall hear and determine the matter as if it were an application for compensation under the Acquisition of Land Act 1967 and the provisions of sections 24 to 30 of that Act shall, with and subject to all necessary adaptations, apply and extend accordingly.
