### sec.28 Right to compensation
Where, consequent upon the exercise of a power conferred by section 8 , loss or damage results to the owner or occupier of land in respect whereof that power is exercised, the chief executive, in the performance of whose duties that power was exercised, shall pay compensation therefor to the person entitled thereto.
A person whose estate or interest in land is injuriously affected by the coming into force, amendment or revocation of the approval of an approved plan or by an act done or omitted to be done under an approved plan shall be entitled to be paid compensation by the chief executive.
A claim for compensation under this Act shall be made within the time specified in section 30 .
