### sec.49 Protection from liability
An official does not incur civil liability for an act or omission done honestly and without negligence under this Act.
A liability that would, apart from this section, attach to an official attaches instead to the State.
In this section—
official means—
the chief executive; or
a public service employee.

(sec.49-ssec.3) In this section— official means— the chief executive; or a public service employee.
