### 3B Meaning of "security activities"

> > > (a) patrols, protects, watches or guards property by physical means with the use of a guard dog;
> >
> > > (b) patrols, protects, watches or guards property by physical means while in possession of a firearm, within the meaning of the [Firearms Act 1996](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1996-023) ;
> >
> > > (c) patrols, protects, watches or guards property by any other physical or electronic means;
> >
> > > (d) checks or screens persons leaving property to prevent the unlawful removal of property;
> >
> > > (e) acts as a bodyguard;
> >
> > > (f) provides training in respect of an activity referred to in [paragraph (a)](#GS3B@Hpa@EN) , [(b)](#GS3B@Hpb@EN) , [(c)](#GS3B@Hpc@EN) , [(d)](#GS3B@Hpd@EN) or [(e)](#GS3B@Hpe@EN) .
