### sec.57 Person must not alter property register
A person must not remove an entry in a property register.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
If a pawnbroker finds an error in an entry in the pawnbroker’s property register, the pawnbroker may correct the entry by making a new entry for the transaction in the property register.
In this section—
remove includes alter, disguise, erase and make illegible or unintelligible.
(sec.57-ssec.1) A person must not remove an entry in a property register. Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
(sec.57-ssec.2) If a pawnbroker finds an error in an entry in the pawnbroker’s property register, the pawnbroker may correct the entry by making a new entry for the transaction in the property register.
