### sec.53 Pawnbroker must keep a property register
A pawnbroker must keep a printed or an electronic register of property taken as a pawn by the pawnbroker ( property register ) in a way prescribed under a regulation, for each authorised place for the pawnbroker’s licence.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
The pawnbroker must, before or immediately after the pawnbroker gives a person money for property taken as a pawn from the person, enter in the property register for the place the particulars prescribed under a regulation for the pawned property.

(sec.53-ssec.1) A pawnbroker must keep a printed or an electronic register of property taken as a pawn by the pawnbroker ( property register ) in a way prescribed under a regulation, for each authorised place for the pawnbroker’s licence. Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
